The Senate says it will only recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan after she complies with a court order to issue a formal apology.
Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu said the lawmaker must obey the Federal High Court ruling before her suspension can be reviewed.
Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended in March over misconduct. The court later ruled the suspension excessive but upheld the Senate’s right to discipline members.
She was also fined ₦5 million and ordered to publish an apology in two national papers and on Facebook for contempt.
