The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has assured that all Nigerian pilgrims will return from Saudi Arabia by June 28, 2025. So far, 6,528 pilgrims have been airlifted back to Nigeria through various flights.
The commission blamed the delay on limited airport slots and operational restrictions by Saudi authorities. It said measures are being taken to scale up the number of daily flights and ease the backlog.
NAHCON added that it remains committed to ensuring a smooth and safe return for all pilgrims and is working closely with airlines and Saudi officials to meet the target.
