Mohbad’s Death Brought Unexpected Blessings to My Life – Father

Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has revealed that despite the tragedy of his son’s death, his life has seen unexpected improvements due to the support he received from compassionate Nigerians.

Mohbad, aged 26, died under controversial circumstances on September 11, 2023. The aftermath of his passing remains unresolved, with ongoing debates about his autopsy and inheritance. However, speaking during an interview with media personality Akin Abolade, Aloba disclosed how well-meaning individuals have transformed his life.

“Honestly, my life got better after Mohbad’s death because he was like a friend to me. He had planned to do many things for me, but circumstances didn’t allow that to happen,” Aloba stated.

He attributed his new possessions, including vehicles and other items, to a combination of divine intervention and his son’s spiritual influence. “Mohbad’s spirit, combined with God’s will, guided people to assist me. The car and other gifts I now have were given to me by kind-hearted people. It is beyond explanation,” he said.

Despite this, Aloba expressed concerns over Mohbad’s assets, which he claimed were largely under the control of the late musician’s wife, Wunmi, and her family.

“All his landed properties are with them. Even the land he bought for me to build a church ended up being used for his burial. He had already planned to buy me a house after his tour,” he added.

Aloba also reflected on the circumstances that led to his son becoming a singer. “After his naming ceremony, the money was stolen. That event marked a turning point. Mohbad started backing me as a singer when he was just one year old,” he recounted.
