The kidnapped student of the Nigerian navy secondary school, Imeri in Ose local government area of Ondo state has regained his freedom. Mr. Jethro Onose was abducted by suspected gunmen, alongside his father Maliki Onose, while returning to school after the three weeks holiday.

Father and son were waylaid and abducted on the notorious routes between the border towns of Ondo and Edo states.

Confirming the news, the commander of the regional security outfit, Amotekun, in Ondo state, Adetunji Adeleye, said the rescue operation between the navy and the Amotekun corps led to the freedom of both the father and his son from the kidnappers’ den.

“We combed the length and breadth of the forest with the permission of the Navy and in collaboration. Both the father and his son are now safe and have reunited with their family,” Adeleye said.
