Kano Files Bribery Charges Against ex-Governor Ganduje.

The kano state government has filed criminal charges against the immediate past governor of the state, Engineer Abdullahi Ganduje, over alleged $413,000, ₦1.38 billion bribery.

The state said it had assembled 15 witnesses to testify against the Gandujes.

Joined as co-defendants in the charge sheet dated april 3rd, 2024, are Ganduje’s wife Hafsat, and his son, Umar.

Also listed as defendants are Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash properties Ltd., Safari textiles Ltd. and Lesage general enterprises.

The incumbent Governor Abba Yusuf had on assumption of office, accused the Ganduje led administration of misappropriating public funds and allocating plots of land to some members of his immediate family.

A trial date has not been set yet.
