The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has admitted to errors in the recently released 2025 UTME results.

Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, apologised to affected candidates, saying he regretted the distress caused.

According to JAMB, over 379,000 candidates in Lagos and the South East experienced result issues due to technical glitches.

Out of nearly 2 million candidatesover 1.5 million scored below 200, sparking concerns over the high failure rate. Only 12,414 candidates scored above 300, representing just 0.63% of total candidates.

The board promised to investigate the problems and ensure no candidate is unfairly treated.
