Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf says his administration has fulfilled 85% of its campaign promises, with only 15% left as he enters the second half of his tenure.
He made the statement while swearing in his new Chief of Staff, Dr Sulaiman Wali Sani, and other key aides on Thursday.
According to him, the figure came after a thorough review of the government’s performance over the past two years.
“We assessed our work and found that we’ve achieved 85% of what we pledged at the polling units,” he said. “What’s left is 15%, and we’re committed to delivering on that before our tenure ends.”
Governor Yusuf added that new policies and programmes would be rolled out to further improve the lives of Kano residents.
He urged the newly appointed officials to maintain transparency, uphold public trust, and provide honest feedback.
“Don’t keep quiet if things go wrong. Be bold enough to point them out. That’s why you’re part of the team,” he said.
