Nigeria’s inflation rate fell to 23.71% in April 2025, down from 24.23% in March, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reports.

Food inflation also eased to 21.26% year-on-year, compared to 40.53% last year. Monthly price rises slowed, helped by lower costs for staples like maize flour, rice, and beans.

This drop shows some relief in the cost of living, though prices remain high for many Nigerians.
