The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has identified gaps in the petition seeking to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, stating it does not meet key submission requirements.

INEC’s National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, said the petitioners failed to provide a clear contact address, as required by regulations. He noted that while the petition included six bags of documents with voter signatures from Kogi Central, the lack of proper details hinders further action.

Olumekun assured that INEC would proceed with the verification process once all requirements are met, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to due process.
