Imo Residents Observe IPOB/ESN Sit-at-Home Order for Second Consecutive Day

Residents of Imo State adhered to the sit-at-home directive issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) for a second day on Tuesday.

According to reports from Daily Trust’s correspondent in the area, calm prevailed in Owerri and its surrounding regions following the order that took effect on Monday. In response to the sit-at-home call, security agencies deployed armoured vehicles and helicopters to maintain order throughout the state.

Despite these security measures, the community largely complied with the IPOB/ESN’s instructions. The streets were notably quiet, with both private and commercial vehicles absent, while federal and state employees remained home. Bank workers also joined the stay-at-home effort, and schools across the state were closed.
