Former Military President Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) has admitted regret over the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election, saying he would have handled it differently.
Speaking at the launch of his autobiography, A Journey in Service, in Abuja, he took full responsibility for the decision, calling it a mistake.
IBB acknowledged that MKO Abiola won the election but defended the annulment, citing security concerns and the fear of another military coup.
