Some suspected gunmen, alleged to be bandits, have reportedly killed Musa Ille, the secretary of the peoples’ democratic party (PDP) in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.
Reports say Mr. Ille was killed in front of his house when the assailant invaded his residence on Monday night.
Confirming the incident, the chairman of the party in the local government, Mr. Garba Garewa, “we are suspecting his killers to be bandits, they entered his house yesterday (Monday) and shot him,”
A resident of the area, Abubakar Tsafe, also gave credence to the report, saying “when the gunmen entered the area, they called the secretary to come check something at the back of his house.”
According to him, Ille answered the call not knowing the assailants were outside waiting to carry out the act, armed with dangerous weapons.
There have been no official confirmation from police authorities in the state at the time of filing this report.
