Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has unveiled a proposed budget of N790 billion for 2025, with a focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, and agriculture. During his address to the state House of Assembly, Governor Sani detailed that N553 billion would be allocated to capital expenditure, while N237 billion would go towards recurrent spending. A major portion, N206.6 billion, is earmarked for education, aimed at new school constructions, teacher recruitment, and improvements in learning materials.

Healthcare will receive N127 billion, to enhance facilities and expand mobile health services. Infrastructure development will see an allocation of N106 billion for road construction, rural electrification, and water supply initiatives. Additionally, N74 billion is dedicated to supporting agriculture, including smallholder farmers and irrigation projects, while N11.2 billion is set aside for security enhancements. Social welfare will receive N9.8 billion to strengthen safety nets for vulnerable groups.

Governor Sani called on the state legislature to support the budget and promised continued collaboration to ensure successful implementation. He also highlighted notable achievements in 2024, including the recruitment and training of 7,000 personnel for the Kaduna Vigilance Service and improvements to the state’s security infrastructure.
