Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has appointed Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
In a video that surfaced on Wednesday, Governor Alia praised Tuface for supporting his administration and said the state would benefit even more from his experience and influence.
“On behalf of the Benue State government and our good people, we’re giving you additional responsibility,” the governor said. “You’ve shown capacity, and we believe your voice and ideas can help shape lives and move the state forward.”
Tuface, a native of Benue, is considered one of the pioneers of Afrobeats and one of Nigeria’s most respected music figures.
