National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has blasted the Canadian embassy for denying visas to Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa and other top military officials.
Speaking at an event in Abuja on Thursday, Ribadu said, “Canada can go to hell.”
His remark followed Gen. Musa’s revelation that he and some senior officers were denied visas for an official trip to honour war veterans in Canada.
“It’s disappointing,” Musa said. “We were invited, but while some got visas, others were denied. This is a reminder that we must stand strong as a nation.”
Ribadu, expressing frustration over the incident, said, “It’s painful and disrespectful, but we are strong. This is why we must fix our country.”
He also commended the CDS for his leadership in the fight against insecurity.
