A fire outbreak on Friday night destroyed part of Ago Medical Centre on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.
The blaze, which started around 8:30 pm, caused panic as nurses, doctors, and patients scrambled for safety.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said investigations pointed to an electrical surge as the cause.
“No lives were lost, and no injuries were recorded. The fire was contained through the combined efforts of the LASEMA Response Team, LRU Fire Unit, and other responders,” he stated.
