The federal government has launched the “Grow What You Eat” initiative in 20 secondary schools to promote agriculture and self-reliance among students.
The programme, flagged off in Abuja, is aimed at equipping students with practical farming and entrepreneurial skills. NSSEC boss Iyela Ajayi said the initiative will bridge the gap between theory and practice while supporting food security.
A cheque of N300,000 was presented to Government Girls Secondary School, Dutse, to begin the project.
