The Federal Government has unveiled a new resettlement city for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yar-Kande, Nasarawa State.

Named after First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, the new site will house 40 displaced families and includes homes, a police station, church, mosque, training centres, and 100 hectares of farmland.

Speaking at the launch, Mrs Tinubu said the project reflects President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, offering dignity and stability to those forced from their homes.

The Refugee Commission says over 6.1 million people remain displaced nationwide. Officials say more resettlement cities will follow.
