The Federal Government has told a Federal High Court in Abuja that Nnamdi Kanu’s threats to break up Nigeria were serious, not empty boasts.
Prosecuting counsel, Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), said Kanu incited attacks on security agents through his broadcasts, which he claimed led to the deaths of over 170 personnel.
But Kanu’s lawyer, Kanu Agabi (SAN), argued that no link was established between the broadcasts and any violence, urging the court to dismiss the case.
Ruling on the no-case submission has been set for October 10.
