The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a public holiday in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the decision following President Bola Tinubu’s approval.
In a statement, the ministry said the holiday is to recognise Buhari’s service, integrity, and contributions to Nigeria’s unity and development.
Flags will continue to fly at half-mast during the seven-day national mourning period.
