The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to fully implement the ban on hawking around office premises starting January next year.
Head of Internal Security at the Department of Security Services, Sunday Olubiyi, disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja. He stated that the enforcement aims to enhance security, reduce incidents of theft, and curb other related crimes within office environments.
Earlier, the Director of Security Services, Adamu Gwary, reiterated the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, referencing the recent distribution of 50 operational vehicles to security agencies as part of these efforts.
