Cassava farmers in Gombe State are raising the alarm over a sharp drop in the price of the commodity, a situation they say is forcing many of them to abandon their farms and leave harvested produce uncollected.

Across several farming communities in the state, farmers say the current market price of cassava has fallen drastically, making it uneconomical to harvest their produce.
