The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 22-year-old Malik Opeyemi for using fake female profiles to blackmail men online.
Opeyemi confessed to posing as a woman to lure men into sending nude photos and videos, which he used to extort over ₦4 million from more than 30 victims.
He demanded ₦25,000 from each victim as a “subscription” fee to delete their content.
Police arrested him in Ibadan on May 16 after a victim reported the case. Two phones containing explicit images were recovered. He has been charged to court.
