The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says electricity supply has been restored to the North-East after completing work on the new Bauchi 330/132kV transmission substation.

The blackout, which lasted from June 10 to 14, was due to major upgrades on transmission lines linking Jos, Bauchi, and Gombe. In a statement, TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah said the project was completed and supply restored by June 19 at 4:45pm.

She said the reconnection has improved power reliability for Jos and Yola Electricity Distribution Companies, which serve Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Adamawa, and Taraba.

Mbah appreciated residents for their patience during the outage.
