El-Rufai: We’ll Send Tinubu Back to Lagos, But Keep His Minister

Former Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai, says the opposition is building a coalition to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 — but will retain his Minister of Communications, Bosun Tijani.

Speaking at an event in Katsina, El-Rufai praised Tijani’s performance, saying, “We’ll send Tinubu back to Lagos, but keep Bosun. He’s doing a good job.”

El-Rufai, who recently joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP), is among key opposition figures working to challenge the APC in the next general election.
