Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that certain individuals are being financially rewarded to defend President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
El-Rufai made the claim while responding to Daniel Bwala, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, who criticized his recent comments about the APC.
Bwala had questioned whether El-Rufai would have expressed the same views if he had been part of the government. In response, El-Rufai stated that he had informed Tinubu from the outset that he was not interested in a ministerial role.
He further accused some government supporters of receiving payments to justify its actions, no matter how “indefensible.”
El-Rufai, whose ministerial nomination was not confirmed by the Senate, maintained that his criticism was based on principles, not personal interest.
