Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga has fired back at ex-Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, who recently said President Bola Tinubu would need a “miracle” to win re-election in 2027.
Reacting in a post on X, Onanuga quoted former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s memoir My Watch, where El-Rufai was accused of suffering from “small man syndrome” and being disloyal.
Obasanjo, who appointed El-Rufai as FCT Minister from 2003 to 2007, had written that the former governor had a habit of destroying the reputation of allies and even family members.
El-Rufai, now with the SDP, is part of a coalition seeking to unseat Tinubu in the next election.
