EFCC Operatives Storm Yahaya Bello’s Abuja Residence.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly barricaded the Abuja residence of the immediate past governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello. This comes after the anti-graft agency have filed corruption charges against the former governor and other respondents.

The EFCC siege comes days after the former governor held a close-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the state house.

The house, located at Wuse 2, in Abuja, was swarmed by the operatives and captured by newsmen.

In response, a spokesperson to the former governor’s released a statement condemning the EFCC’s actions and urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene and call the agency to order.

Bello served as kogi governor for eight years from 2016 to 2024.
