The ECOWAS Commission and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have launched the second phase of an EU-funded project to enhance free movement and migration governance in West Africa.
ECOWAS Vice-President Damtien Tchintchibidja said the initiative will improve migration policies, border management, and labour mobility to boost regional integration.
EU’s Head of Cooperation, Massimo De Luka, reaffirmed support for the five-year project, which aims to strengthen the implementation of ECOWAS free movement protocols for economic growth and stability.
