Ladi Kwali began her journey in Kwali village, where her pots, adorned with local motifs, were highly sought after. Her talent gained recognition on the international stage after she met British potter Michael Cardew.

Ladi Kwali achieved widespread acclaim, received prestigious awards, and had her works displayed in major museums around the world.  However, decades later, the pottery centers in Suleja and Kwali, which were meant to honor her legacy, now stand abandoned and silent.

This documentary explores the remarkable life and neglected legacy of Dr. Ladi Kwali, the Nigerian ceramicist whose work bridged traditional Gbari pottery and global modern art, amid conflicting accounts of her identity.
