Daybreak: Rising Population of out of School Children in Northern Nigeria

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today” – Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. However, this passport has become difficult to be obtained by many Nigerian children, who are the nation’s hope and future leaders, as the population of out-of-school children is on the rise.

So, this morning on the daybreak sow a teacher, teacher-trainer, author and project lead for mobile library, Dr Rasheeda Sadiq Heneerf and Dr Jamilah Dahiru, Bauchi state Commissioner for Education look at the rising population of out of school children in northern and how this worrisome development can be arrested and also prevent from explosion as it has been described as a ticking time bomb.
