Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of petrol to N865 per litre, a drop from the previous rate of N880.
The refinery announced the price cut to its customers in a notice issued on Thursday.
This adjustment follows the federal government’s reaffirmation that crude oil and refined products will continue to be sold in naira within Nigeria.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance described the policy as a long-term strategy aimed at supporting local refining, strengthening energy security, and easing pressure on the country’s foreign exchange demand.
The ministry added that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) remains committed to fully implementing the directive in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
