Customs Seizes Cannabis, Tramadol Worth N117m

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun Area I Command, has confiscated cannabis sativa and Tramadol tablets with a duty-paid value of ₦117.5 million across border areas in Ogun State.

Speaking during a briefing in Abeokuta, Comptroller James Ojo revealed that the haul included 403 sacks, 6,504 parcels of cannabis, and 362 packs of Tramakin tablets seized from locations in Yewa North and Imeko Afon LGAs.

Ojo praised his officers for their vigilance and warned smugglers to desist from illicit activities. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Commander, Olusegun Adeyeye, received the contraband, commending the synergy between Customs and NDLEA in combating drug trafficking.

This interception underscores the agencies’ joint commitment to eradicating illicit drugs in the region.
