A Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has granted N50 million bail to suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, over alleged defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello.

The court dismissed the prosecution’s request to remand her, ruling there was no justifiable reason to deny her bail. She was also asked to provide one surety with landed property in Abuja.

Natasha is facing a three-count charge bordering on making injurious falsehood during a live appearance on Channels TV, where she accused both men of orchestrating an assassination plot against her. The case resumes on September 23.
