American R&B star Chris Brown has been granted bail of £5 million following his arrest in the United Kingdom over an alleged assault dating back to 2023.
The Grammy-winning singer was taken into custody on May 15, 2025, shortly after landing in the UK for a scheduled tour performance. Reports say the arrest is linked to a complaint by British music promoter Abraham Dias, who accused Brown of attacking him with a tequila bottle during a previous visit to the country.
Prosecutors claim the assault was unprovoked and that Brown left the UK shortly after the incident. While full details of the case have not been made public, UK authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
Brown has since been released on bail as legal proceedings continue.
