The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Saturday’s by-election victories are a show of support for President Bola Tinubu’s government.
APC won 12 out of 16 seats nationwide, including the Edo Central senatorial seat and key House of Representatives contests.
Lagos APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said the results prove Nigerians still trust Tinubu’s reforms despite economic challenges. He also credited APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for steering the party to success in his first major test.
The party mocked opposition parties, noting that the Labour Party and ADC failed to win any seats, while PDP and NNPP managed one each.
Oladejo described the outcome as a “renewed vote of confidence” in Tinubu and the APC.
