Breaking News: Reps Tells FG to Suspend Samoa Agreement.

The Nigerian House of Representatives has passed a “motion of national importance” sponsored by 88 members of the house telling the Federl Government to immediately halt implementing the terms of the controversial Samoa agreement.

Details of the agreement came to light recently and has generated a lot of controversy because of a “gender equality” clause many call a trojan horse, aimed at opening the doors to ushering LGBTQ (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual, Transexual and Queer) rights into the country.

The house further instructed relevant standing committees to investigate the controversial clauses and report back to the full house,

Since the announcement of the deal, there have been an outpour of anger from residents who express strong opposition to the provision. Efforts by the presidency to explain away the clause have not yielded any results either as the dissenting voices continue to grow.
