The Katsina State Government says Abdulsalam Rabiu-Faskari, the National Qur’an Recitation Competition winner, his father, and his brother are alive but still in captivity.

Commissioner for Information Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango said on Friday that their abductors are demanding N30 million for their release. The victims were kidnapped two days ago while returning to Faskari after being honored by Governor Dikko Radda.

The governor condemned the abduction and assured efforts to secure their safe return, urging security agencies to act swiftly.
