Singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, was arraigned on Thursday before an Abeokuta Magistrate Court over alleged assault on government officials.
Portable turned himself in at the Lagos SCID on Wednesday after being declared wanted by the Ogun Police Command. He was later transferred to Eleweran, Abeokuta, where he faced a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, and obstruction. He pleaded not guilty.
His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, pleaded for bail, assuring the court that Portable was remorseful. Magistrate O. L. Oke granted him ₦2 million bail with one surety in like sum, adjourning the case to March 5.
