Alleged Mastermind of Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack Arrested.

The Nigerian Police force have announced an arrest of the alleged mastermind behind the killing of passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train in March of 2022.

The revelation was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, during a press briefing in Kaduna State, on Thursday.

He was identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known as moniker of mandi.

According to ACP Adejobi, the arrest of Abdullahi marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the heinous attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train. During the operation leading to his apprehension, the police say they recovered 48 AK-47 rifles. They also reveal investigations are currently underway to uncover Abdullahi’s alleged sponsors and suppliers of the weapons used in the attack.

The arrest, police say, underscores their commitment to ensuring justice for the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack and to apprehending all individuals involved in such criminal activities. Further details regarding the arrest and ongoing investigations will be provided in due course.

The suspect is also alleged to have participated in the abduction of students from greenfield university in 2021.
