Senate President Godswill Akpabio says the Senate remains aware of Nigerians’ hardships and their hunger for change.
Speaking on Tuesday as lawmakers resumed from the Easter and Eid break, Akpabio said: “We have not forgotten your hopes, your hardships, or your hunger for change. We return renewed, ready to build a nation where peace and progress are real.”
He said the Senate would focus on key bills on security, the economy, education, and youth empowerment, adding that oversight of government agencies would also be a priority.
“We must act as statesmen, not partisans,” he said.
