The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has ordered an immediate stop for all movie productions involving riverine areas and boat rides following the tragic boat accident that claimed the life of popular Nollywood star, Junior Pope, and three (3) crew members.

The guild’s president, Ejezie Rollas, made the new directive known in a circular dated April 11th, 2024 and posted on social media same day.

Additionally, the guild announced a ban on actors from participating in any movie produced by Adanma Luke until further notice.

Luke is the producer of the movie titled “the other side of life,” in which Junior Pope was starring before his unfortunate demise.

News broke on Wednesday afternoon that Junior Pope and four (4) other crew members lost their lives in an accident while travelling by boat away from the film set.

Rollas later shared a post on his social media handle that junior pope survived and was receiving treatment a post that appears to have since been deleted.
