A woman, identified as Aldi (or Aladi Offikwu) Johnson from Benue State, was found dead in a hotel on 3rd Avenue, Gwarimpa. She had checked in Monday night with an unknown man who left the next morning. A cleaner found the door locked and alerted staff, who discovered her bound and gagged, then called the police.
The FCT Police confirmed the tragic incident. The man left without explanation, and Ms. Johnson was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The police have launched a full investigation, and Commissioner CP Ajao Saka Adewale urges the public to stay calm and let the team work.
FCT police spokesperson SP Adeh Josephine advises ladies to stay cautious around strangers. She also recommends always letting family or friends know your plans, especially when meeting new people.
