At least three people have been confirmed dead and 96 houses burnt in an attack on Gyenbwas community, Langai District, Mangu LGA of Plateau State.
The incident happened Monday, with survivors saying food, livestock, and valuables were looted. Traditional ruler Alhaji Yakubu Umar confirmed the figures and described the destruction as the worst the area had seen.
Locals blamed the Berom, but the Berom Youth Moulders Association denied the claim, insisting their people were the ones under attack.
Security forces are yet to comment, but over 15,000 people have been displaced across the state in recent weeks as violence escalates.
