The Katsina State Government has revealed that over 130 security operatives have died in the ongoing battle against banditry.
According to Dr. Nasir Muazu, Commissioner for Internal Security, more than 100 Community Watch Corps members and over 30 police officers were killed while safeguarding communities.
He warned against false narratives circulating online, saying such claims undermine the sacrifices made and the progress achieved in restoring peace to areas like Danmusa, Jibia, and Batsari.
“These men paid the ultimate price. Their sacrifices must not be forgotten,” he said, assuring continued support for their families and ongoing rescue efforts.
