At least 13 Palestinians were killed on Saturday in two separate Israeli attacks in Gaza, according to the civil defence agency.
Six of the deaths occurred near the Al-Alam roundabout in Rafah, close to a US-backed aid centre, where civilians had gathered to collect food. Witnesses said Israeli troops opened fire as people approached the distribution point.
Another airstrike hit a house near Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, killing seven more people. The Israeli military says it’s reviewing both incidents.
The UN has warned that Gaza’s entire population is at risk of starvation, as fighting continues despite growing humanitarian concerns.
