11 Arrested Over Killing of Students Accused of Homosexuality in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested 11 suspects linked to the killing of two students at Government Secondary School, Bichi.

The incident happened Monday night after a group of students reportedly attacked four of their classmates over allegations of homosexuality. Two died on the spot, while two others were injured and taken to hospital.

Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the arrests and said investigations are ongoing.

The Kano State Government has ordered a probe, with the Education Commissioner describing the event as tragic and promising justice. Officials have also urged students to avoid mob action.
