U.S. federal agencies, including the FBI, IRS, DEA, and Department of State, have been directed to release documents linked to past investigations involving President Bola Tinubu by May 2, 2025.
The order was issued by a U.S. District Court in Washington D.C. following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by American citizen Aaron Greenspan. He is seeking details of alleged drug-related probes from the 1990s.
Judge Beryl Howell ruled that withholding the documents “is neither logical nor plausible.” The Presidency has since responded, saying the documents contain nothing new and do not indict the President.
