Soldiers from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Jalingo, Taraba State, have captured a kidnapper who admitted to abducting 20 people and securing N70 million in ransom payments.
The suspect, Suleiman Ahmed from Bomanda village, was apprehended during an anti-kidnapping raid.
Captain Oni Olubodunde, the Acting Assistant Director of Public Relations, disclosed that Ahmed’s accomplice was later arrested, and a weapon was recovered.
A separate operation also led to the detention of a suspected arms dealer in Mayo Dassa.
The brigade vowed to keep dismantling criminal networks in the region.
