President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the employment of 774 National Health Fellows to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system.
Announcing the initiative at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu described it as a step towards empowering young Nigerians and improving healthcare delivery. The fellows were selected from 360,000 applicants, following the recommendation of Health Minister Prof. Ali Pate.
“With over 60% of Nigerians under 30, we must harness their potential for national growth,” Tinubu said.
Prof. Pate called it a major step in reforming the health sector, adding that the programme is already yielding results.
